What is Invisalign®?

Since entering the market in the late ’90s, Invisalign has revolutionized orthodontic treatment. Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners that are adjusted and replaced every few weeks. These aligners help make incremental changes to your teeth without the need for metal brackets or rubber bands.

What Issues Can Invisalign Correct?

Invisalign braces can address various dental issues. It is effective in correcting problems related to both upper and lower teeth. Some of the common issues that Invisalign can fix include:

  • Gapped teeth: Invisalign aligners can gradually close gaps between teeth, helping you achieve a more harmonious smile.

  • Crooked teeth: Invisalign can effectively straighten teeth, improving their alignment and overall appearance.

  • Overbite: Invisalign can help correct an overbite, where the upper front teeth excessively overlap the lower front teeth.

  • Underbite: Invisalign can be used to correct an underbite, where the lower teeth protrude in front of the upper teeth when biting down.

  • Crossbite: Invisalign treatment can fix a crossbite, which occurs when some of the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth rather than outside them when biting.

What Factors Influence Invisalign Cost?

When considering Invisalign treatment, it’s essential to consult with an experienced Invisalign dentist for an accurate estimate. It’s worth noting that Invisalign can be a bit more pricey than traditional metal braces, but if you don’t want to wear metal braces, Invisalign aligners provide a great option.

The cost of Invisalign can vary depending on several factors. Here are the key factors that can influence the cost:

  • Complexity of the case

  • Treatment duration

  • Geographic location

  • Dentist or orthodontist expertise

  • Additional procedures

  • Dental insurance coverage

How Does Invisalign® Work?

The Invisalign treatment process is simple and non-intrusive. Your dentist will first take an impression of your teeth that will be sent to a lab where we’ll map out a treatment plan and create the models for your aligners.

Depending on your case, you will receive a new set of aligners every two to four weeks; each will be slightly different from the previous set. After wearing the aligners for about 22 hours each day, you’ll start seeing changes in your smile. By the end of your treatment, your teeth will be moved to the desired position.

What are the Benefits of Using Invisalign® Clear Aligners?

  • Fully removable

  • Non-intrusive

  • Comfortable to wear
